Yeah, took a while. Going for all the skill points, too.

...Just how screwed am I?

And not being able to skip battle animations. =/

The game wouldn't take nearly as long if we were able to skip them...

Have fun sitting through 2 hours of animation per stage.

Actually, you can skip animations, Orochi.

That is...turn them off.

Poor Ideon.

I keep talking with him on the phone about how things are going, and he sounds like he's about to have a coronary.

Tobikage is broken. Besides, he's not even one of your units >>

He's still cool, though.

>_> That sounds like a crappy excuse to give someone double movement...

Well, no one's going to argue that.

I look at it THIS way: at least he's on your side.

The same way Ragou is on the enemy's side? The same way EVA-01 chooses to go berserk right next to Nadesico? >_>

Well, I'm in the early twenties, and it's actually feeling fun again. Even the skill points seem less obnoxious.

Daitarn is just sick in this one, though. Lots of armor? Sure. Shield defense? Why not? S Rankings in ground and air terrains? Go for it. The old 2x Armor version of Iron Wall? No biggie. Too bad he's going up into space in a few missions.

Grendizer was pretty cool, too, when he was down on Earth. Anything with Iron Wall is pretty much Teh Win, it seems like. Of course, he's back up in space.

Raideen was alright. Shields aren't really making up for the armor, but the infinitely spammable seishins help a lot. Impact is definitely back to the old Alpha style of fifty gazillion attacks I'll never use, though. He's now up in space, trying to keep Zeon from giving us the 21 Colony Salute.

Finally got to use the Aesties again, at the Walking Stick mission. Fun times. Haven't had a chance to mess around with frame swapping yet, since they've all headed back into space. Again.

I've really been enjoying using the Ninja team, despite Mike's sucktastic dodge rates out of water, and non-post-movement combination. Their battleship was pretty cool, too, with Exhaust spamming galore. Why they felt it necessary to send it into space, leaving its support team with me and leaving me with one cranky old battleship while the Nadesico and the Brightmobile are up in orbit, baffles me.

I had to laugh at the stage where that one Meganoid boss whips out the G-3 Gundam and Char's Zaku, seeing as how badly they kick his ass stat-wise. Thank God generic AIs don't get access to Shield Defense, though. I got the requirements for them, but at this rate I fully expect Amuro to ship them up into space before I can use them, simply out of spite.

So far, Impact has turned out to be a lot of fun. I just wish it would stop shipping all the fun into space.

Considering where the final battle will take place, you may like it a bit more ;P

Well, shouldn't YOU be heading into space fairly soon, anyway?

In another ten stages or so.

Which final battle? The Einst one or the Char one?

How are the Alt Eisen and Weiss Ritter in Impact? I never played it myself, and those are two of my favorite original units, so I always wondered how they handled in their own game.

They can handle their own. Alt can take a couple hits, but generally a hit-and-kill machine. Weiss is a good sniper as always, but the real power lies in Rampage Ghost >_>

I've heard their upgrades are pretty broken, once you get them. Then again, that wasn't any less true in OG2...

Especially since it can be done WITHOUT using Assault. <_<

XD That's the really scary thing. If you slap three Haros on Weiss, Rampage Ghost gets such a huge range it's not funny.
